Why we built it
Dividend tracking often begins in a spreadsheet. As the number of holdings, accounts, currencies, and distributions grows, that spreadsheet becomes harder to verify and maintain. Dividend Yield brings those records into one organized view without pretending that a forecast is a promise.
The product is designed to answer straightforward questions: What do I own? How much cash am I holding? Which assets contribute income? When are payments expected? How has the portfolio changed?
Income over noise
We organize holdings around the income they may produce and when that income may arrive.
Canadian context
CAD and USD balances remain distinct, with account and brokerage workflows designed for Canadian investors.
Traceable calculations
Important figures should be understandable from the holdings, prices, payouts, and exchange rates behind them.
Respect for your data
You decide what to enter or import. Brokerage passwords are never required for CSV-based tracking.
What the service does
- Records portfolios, accounts, securities, transactions, and cash balances.
- Imports supported brokerage CSV files, including common Wealthsimple and Questrade formats.
- Separates CAD and USD amounts and applies exchange rates only where a converted view is requested.
- Estimates forward dividend income from saved payout assumptions and payment schedules.
- Presents holdings, returns, dividend calendars, and portfolio-level totals in one place.
